The Canterbury Tales

Madeline, Nancy, and I made a video for our Canterbury Tales project for English class. I had to get some pictures of course, but don't worry the blood is ketchup! Below is the final video and a few shots taken during filming.

The beginning of the video, the Prioress' Prologue, is a sequence of photos meshed together.
And yes, The tall, sexy red head with the mask is me! JK!

The Puppeteers

So, I mentioned the shoot with Maddie that I was really excited about, and here it is!
Nancy, Madeline, and Nicole were stuck shooting in the freezing cold wind, but they were great sports, and I know they had fun. The wind even turned out to be a good addition!

I'm Back

Yesterday, I returned from my trip to Nampa for All-State choir.
I never realized how many high school students had such amazing talent!
Some of the other students from my school and a few from out of town were my subjects for my new shots. My friends are so silly, and I love it! We had a lot of fun just going with the flow and shooting anything we felt like. (We had a lot of free time between rehearsals.) I also got a few pictures of a gorgeous fountain on the NNU campus.
I'm going to miss everyone I met there. It was truly a rewarding experience.

Gone for the rest of the week...

I'm going to All-State choir this week, so I won't be able to do any more shoots until I get back. :(
Fortunately, my trip will be really fun, but I will definitely miss my models!
I'm bringing my camera with me so I may get some cool nature shots! Can't wait!

Casual Tuesday

My friends Nancy, Maddie, and I got together to do a school project, but it became more of a photo shoot than an actual project . Fortunately, we did accomplish our original goal, but we also had tons of fun.
Coming soon is my shoot with Maddie. It's gonna be pretty sweet, so stay tuned.

Second Shoot with Nancy

She's really a natural.

Nature

I'm still getting familiar with my camera, so I decided to test my shutter speed on my boyfriend's backyard waterfall. After that, he and I decided to go down to Rock Creek Canyon and experiment some more :)

Savage and Whimsy

My closet is overflowing with strange and uncommon items. And what would I do without them?!
My brave and willing buddy, Nicole Savage, agreed to let my experiment with a few of my less-than-average clothing pieces. My vision was to create a unique, almost whimsical feel. Some have mentioned it reminds them of Alice in Wonderland. While this was not my intent, I can see how they would think so, but only slightly.

This shoot had me excited for weeks! I was utterly psyched to work with Nicole because of her gorgeous and very unique face. (I told her that if she were six inches taller, she could be a high fashion model.) Nicole was very open about everything, and I knew she really enjoyed the process; I know she enjoyed the outcome!

New With Nancy

Kylie's pictures have been attracting a little buzz around school. I've had a few requests for shoots, and I decided to work with one of my other good friends, Nancy. I really enjoyed working with her. She is very creative, as well as open-minded.

After such a successful photo shoot, we thought, why not try another one?
For this look, we decided to shoot in the grungier side of town.

Upon purchasing my Canon Rebel XS, I decided to combine two of my greatest passions: fashion and photography. My best friend Kylie was gracious enough to allow me to practice on her and, I must say, she looks gorgeous.
